Plaasmeisie was founded in 2015, a proudly South African brand with our shoes being manufactured right here in our beautiful country.

We do not mass produce our products and believe that it’s far more rewarding to design and manufacture goods tailored to the needs of our local South-African market.

Leather is a natural product

It breathes, it’s warm, and has individual characteristics and coloring which form part of the natural charm and beauty of the product.

As a natural product, it will often display traces of the animal’s past life, such as brand marks, wrinkles, veins, healed scars, and different fiber density and coloring.

The leather color advertised on our website may be lighter or darker in comparison to the product received on order. Natural light plays a role in the display of the product, as well as the weather conditions at the time of our product photo shoot.

The tanning and coloring process of each hide will also influence the color of the final product. At Plaasmeisie, we strive to produce locally handmade products of the highest quality.
